On behalf of the staff and students at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Academy, THANK YOU for your generosity on #GivingTuesday, for being a part of our school community and for investing in the important work of Catholic education.

We very much appreciate your support. The passion and care of people like you for our school keeps us going, especially during these challenging times, and we hope we make you proud with how we use these funds to benefit our students and their families.

All donations made on #GivingTuesday will help to fund our school’s response to the global pandemic, support our students and families during this time, and help to ensure that the gift of a Catholic education is accessible to all.

So, thank you for your generous support. God bless you.

#GivingTuesday: A Day When YOU Can Make a Real Difference

A message from our pastor, Fr. Purpura:

All donations made today – Tuesday, Dec. 1 – will help to fund our school’s response to the global pandemic and support children and families during this time, ensuring that the gift of a Catholic education is accessible to all.

Our Lady of Hope Catholic Academy is dedicated to continuing its tradition of providing an exceptional K-8 Catholic education.

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday!

students with signsThis year, in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic the mission of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Academy is more critical than ever before and in these times of uncertainty we remain strong for our students and their families.

Tomorrow we ask you to think about the good that giving to your school can do. Your donation is an investment in the future of our students – and what could be more important?

Please consider making a #GivingTuesday donation to keep our students learning.
Our efforts are focused as always on keeping Catholic education a viable option for all families, and we need your help so that in these times of uncertainty we remain strong for our students and their families. As we anticipate the academic year ahead, we will require more resources than usual to support our students and their families. Tuition fees only cover 67% of the cost of a child’s education, so your help in making up the difference is greatly appreciated.

Please consider making a donation to keep our students happy!
Many of us were lucky enough to be taught by some inspiring teachers who brought their lessons to life every day in the classroom. When we moved to learning in a virtual setting, our teachers tapped into their creativity to support their students. We are so inspired by what our educators created with their energy, passion and care, and for ensuring that our students continued to learn during the lockdown. When the opportunity came to reopen, we worked tirelessly, harnessing an optimistic spirit of resilience and hope. We are so proud of what we have achieved.

Please consider making a donation to keep our students safe and healthy.
Your generosity will help us to pay for the costs associated with keeping our students safe and well at school during this unprecedented time. With mandatory COVID testing measures introduced by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene costing our school $5200 per week, and many of our usual fundraising events cancelled, our income and resources have suffered a severe blow.

So, if you have never given to Our Lady of Hope Catholic Academy – now is a perfect time.

Every gift helps every student to thrive at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Academy. To make a donation, open the link below and click on GivingTuesday on our school’s donation page.

Thank you for all your support!

One Week to Go Until Giving Tuesday

Nothing can stop our Kindergarten students from their education. Learning virtually with their Grade 8 buddies this week.

With #GivingTuesday just one week away, we hope you include Our Lady of Hope Catholic Academy in your #GivingTuesday plans!

As a school we are proud of our collective response to what has been an unconventional year. Our strong community bonds have enabled us to come together, to face every challenge and to rise as one.

We have managed to keep the doors of our school open for our students, and harnessed our optimistic spirit of resilience and #hope that exemplifies our school community. In order to provide our students every opportunity to continue their education during the pandemic, we stepped up spending on health and safety procedures. We are so proud of what we have achieved.

However, now our budgets are tight. Mandatory COVID testing measures introduced by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene are costing our school $5200 per week, costs that are additional to all the other pandemic related expenses our school has incurred.

Many of our usual fundraising events have had to be cancelled, and this has had a seriously negative impact our income and resources. As we anticipate the academic year ahead, we are determined to support our students and their families. To accomplish this task we require more resources than usual as the need to support our students is greater than ever. In these difficult financial times we count on you.

Tuition fees only cover 67% of the cost of a child’s education at Our Lady of Hope, but we are committed to keeping our fees low so that as many children as possible can receive a Catholic education. The real cost of educating a student at our school is $6800 per year, yet our fees are $4600 per child per year.

If you have never given to Our Lady of Hope Catholic Academy – now is a perfect time.

We are grateful to those who have already contributed and invite others to join. Every gift helps every student to thrive at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Academy. To make a donation, open the link below and click on the GivingTuesday box on our school’s donation page.

Enjoy your weekend!

This year, on December 1 2020, as people worldwide come together to strengthen communities and change our world, Our Lady of Hope Catholic Academy will also be participating in Giving Tuesday, and we need your help!

Our school has built its outstanding 60-year-old reputation on providing quality education for Catholic families who seek an academically strong, values-and faith-based schooling.

We have reacted nimbly to the turbulence the past few months, persevering through pandemic restrictions, adapting to new challenges, and all the time continuing our task of educating the school children of Queens.

While we are fully committed to ensuring that Catholic education remains a viable option for all children, we need your help.
