Mrs. Madri has been teaching at Our Lady of Hope since 1976. With the four years of teaching at Sacred Heart School in Manhatan, this is her 45th year teaching. She loves teaching and has taught the third, fourth, and fifth grades. She is presently teaching Reading and ELA to the fourth graders to prepare them for their New York State Test. Mrs. Madri has also worked with students from grades 3 – 8 in after school clubs such as the ballet, drama, creative writing, and keyboard. She has two Master of Science degrees, one from Hunter College in general education, and the other from Queens College in Special Education. She also has a Master of Arts degree in Theology from St., John’s University.
Mrs. Madri has had training in the arts , she studied piano from two music conservatories, ballet from two professional ballet schools, drama from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and art from numerous art schools. She loves writing and has co-written several children’s plays with her husband, John, who has been teaching English at St. Francis Prep High School for 45 years. Children have performed in several of their plays at Our Lady of Hope and one at St. Francis Prep High School.
