Principal’s Welcome Message

Welcome to a new school year!

I hope you are enjoying a restful summer, one that finds you refreshed, invigorated and eager to begin a new school year. I would like to extend a heartfelt welcome all the new families that are joining the Our Lady of Hope Catholic Academy community for the first time. To our current families thank you for continuing to choose Our Lady of Hope for your child’s education. As Our Lady of Hope continues to grow and I invite you to come and experience all that Our Lady of Hope has to offer its students and families.

It is my pleasure to welcome two new faculty members to Our Lady of Hope. Ms. Aviles and Mrs. Behrens will be in grades 4 and 5 respectively. Please give them a warm welcome to the community.

I understand, as parents, you work very hard and make many sacrifices to offer your child a Catholic education. As you decide to entrust your child’s safety and well-being to Our Lady of Hope, as principal I consider that a valuable privilege.

Professionalism is of the utmost importance, I share the Church’s insistence that Catholic educators strive to develop a family atmosphere within the school community. This desire naturally flows from the belief that Catholic educators and parents are partners in a very important mission. The faculty and I eagerly anticipate collaborating with you as we follow the Church’s mission in passing down the Faith to our students.

During the summer, the faculty and staff dedicated their time to making Our Lady of Hope an excellent institution and have been working hard behind the scenes to provide a comfortable atmosphere for learning. The Algebra I program was very successful last year. Therefore, I decided to expand the program and allow all grade 8 students to participate in the Regents level course during throughout the year and partake in the exam in June of 2020. Our Lady of Hope has received over 350 iPads (grades K – 5) and 150 Chromebooks for grades 6 – 8 will be arriving in September. Finally, Our Lady of Hope has expanded its Early Childhood program to accommodate families in the community with a 5-Day Nursery Program.

Once again, thank you for choosing Our Lady of Hope Catholic Academy.
